Why do toenails turn yellow?
Answer:
Not enough fresh air, that is, always having feet "shut up" in shoes, or wearing nail varnish for too long a period.
Fungus or bacteria on them
Toenail funges.
nail infection people have to see a doctor and they give u medicine to clear it up
It can be from bacteria or fungus, but it can also be a condition where the nail has grown back extra thick. You need to see a podiatrist in order to have it checked out.
Fungus. The fungus can eventually cause damage. At night, smother yourtoes and feet with a mixture of half water and half grapefruit seed oil. Then don't walk on them or touch them for at least an hour, or until the liquid completely dries.Do this every night for ten days, and see if it helps. It shouldn't hurt, and will certainly cost less than treatment from a doctor. One way to kill fungus is to smother it, to cut off its oxygen supply.
Mine don't. I wash my feet though...don't you wash yours?
toenails turn yellow when there is fungus underneath the nail you need an anti fungal cream or spray lotrimin af is good but there are generics out there that are cheaper ask the pharmist and they will be able to help you locate the products and ways to prevent it from coming back my friends paint their toenails and they don't turn yellow some little germy got under there and made your toenail its home
It is probably afungal infection. You need to the doctor for a prescription. The other at home remedy that you can try is Vicks vapor rub. Apply to the nail 2 times a day. if you can't go to the doc this may help.
Why do they chlorify the swimming pool water?
If it's not chlorified, what kind of diseases would spread?
Answer:
Chlorine as known as Bleach (obviously) is used to to prevent all types of growth in the water of pools. It has a wide spectrim of coverage...such as Alge, Prevents mosqitoe's egg growth, Parasites such as Cryptosporidium, as well as Bacteria.
hence many types of disease could be spread if chlorine was not used...Crytosporsosis, Staph infections, to name a couple.
Chlorine does not directly prevent diesease. Chlorine is added to so that things that usually grow in water will not be able to survive. Mainly it algae and thus water animals that live off algae.
im not sure of disease as such but the water will turn a green colour and bread tadpoles and frogs to become clear water again simply chlorifiey and you have clear water

Why do some zits squeeze easily, while others have to be dug out with fingernails?
Answer:
I wouldn't suggest you "dig" out your zits.. sounds like it could leave some nasty scars.
Now to answer your question, all zits are not alike. The pore that is more easy to squeeze has its bacteria, oil, dirt that is clogging it very near the surface. However, other zits have their bacteria deeper within your skin. So don't even try popping those. You will end up bleeding and possibly scarring yourself.
Heres a tip to make popping easier (although I personally don't recommend popping your pimples unless it is absolutely necessary)-- take a washcloth and soak it in warm to hot water (not to hot!). Squeeze out the excess water and gently lay it on top of your face. Let the steam sink into your pores-- this will open them as well as pull the pus from the pimples outward. Doing so will make popping your pimples much easier.
yuck!!!!!!!!!!...
eeeewwwww
no idea. be careful of scarring though!
Why do some people's blood veins poke out of there arm ?
I have noticed it's usually found on guys
Answer:
Some because they have low amount of fat. Some others because their muscle demand more oxygen (weight-lifters) so the veins (and arteries) enlarge to transport nutrients more efficiently.
tends to be in fitter people - they have less fat under the skin, which normally hides/covers veins.
My son is a runner, i notice his arm veins bulge after a long run.
they could have high blood pressure
i aint sure why, and wonder that myself,, i am a pretty large lady and no one can find a vein in my arm, when i get my blood drawn, and they always have to use the top of my hand,, it may have to deal with how much fat a person has,, not real sure
My boyfriend and I are both this way.He is very fit and lean. There's not much fat on his body, so his veins are directly under the skin as opposed to hidden under the fat.Mine stick out because I'm naturally very skinny and have no fat on my arms.So the basic answer is because there's not any fat to keep the veins concealed.
I'm going with low body fat index. My veins stick out and I'm on the light side, do not have high blood pressure, in fact mine is on the low side of that. I've always been kinda scrawny and always had visible veins, never had a problem giving blood, ha, ha.

Why do some people have very oily skin yet they dont have acne?
im in high school and i see alot of kids that have more oily skin than me and they rarely get acne. i mean acne is caused by overproducing oil so how do they not get acne and i do?
Answer:
Yes, oily skin is not the only factor to cause acne, another factors is nutrition, stress, life style, etc...Read nice articles on acne, stress and foods :- It's true - stress makes teens break out, study shows, the link : http://www.acneskin123.com/its-true-stre... out.php- Is sugar linked to acne, how about dairy foods, check the answer here : http://www.acneskin123.com/acne-diet-lin...- Taking Care of Acne Prone Skin, the link : http://www.acneskin123.com/taking-care-o...- Nutrition to Fight Acne, the link : http://www.acneskin123.com/nutrition-to-...Hope this helps.
Acne can also be caused by dirt and clogged pores, so as long as they keep their faces clean, they shouldn't have too much trouble with acne.
I have oily skin but no acne. But I do have blackheads that I have to go for a facial every month. What helped me was cleansing twice a day (morning and night), drinking lots of water, eating more fruits and vegetables, and basically keeping my system healthy and free from toxins.I get pimples once in a while but I don't pick on them or touch them. And I make sure that I don't touch my face unless my hands are clean. Oh, and getting enough sleep is important too.
If the kids you see with "oliy skin" in school don't have
acne, then you might just be mistaking sweat for oil.
A lot of people can have very active sweat glands, but
that does not necessarily mean they're acne-prone.

Why do some people have orange palms?
I ahve seen some people who have natural skin tones, except for their palms, they seem to have a carrot orange tinit to them.
Answer:
It could possibly be that they are applying a self-tanner, which can turn the palms orange, but not the rest of the skin.
They probably eat a lot of cheetos
The first answer said it all.I initially thought it was from eating and drinking a lot of carrots and carrot juice, but that only affects the fingernails.
