Why do people want light or white skin?? heres why?

do you guys wanna know why?? its because light and white skin is beautiful. im tired of reading comments like "your retarted" or "why do you wanna be white?" its easy for a WHITE skin person to say that because they dont know what we go through. i myself have dark brown skin. its miserable. ever since the age of 15, ive been tryin to change my skin tone. being dark skined sucks. you feel like you cant show your brown arms or feel nasty and dirty. you guys, on the other hand, are really lucky. you guys have no idea how fortunate you are to have white skin. its a beautiful thing to have. the only thing im fortunate about is that i have vitiligo, so my skin will eventually turn white. when more than 50 percent of my body is covered in white spots, ill have a procedure called "depigmentation" which basically takes all the brown away. so people, dont judge, criticize or insult someone who wants to lighten their skin because you have no idea what we go through
Answer:
you really have an inferiority complex and should be proud of whatever color you are. michael jackson went thru what you're trying to do and all that makes him is a weirdo ... so lighter skin's not going to make you beautiful. sounds like you've been brainwashed by the euro mindset and ideals of what is beautiful.
Hi Michael,
The ByeDr.com team just did a blog on how statements like yours are violations because they aren't questions at all.
then why do i feel prettier when I'm tan?
if somebody says to you that they would like to be brown, do you think they are crazy? You may think they are crazy because they like brown skin. Just as they think you are crazy liking white skin. This is a classic case of "the grass is always greener". I suggest you learn to like yourself and it won't seem such a big deal. I accept that whilst I don't really like my skin colour, some people do like it, and that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes and colours, so I just accept what I am instead of going on and on about it.. once you get this you will be less concerned about it.
Then why do I go to the tanning salon and use self tanner on top of that?
If you only knew how much money I spend on tanning and bronze lotions! My *** feels like a lobster right now!

Why do people stop coughing after smoking for a while?

Answer:
The chemicals in the cigarette numb the cilia and other nerves in the airway. This reduces the bodies response to the irritation. After several hours of not smoking such as a nights sleep, the numbness wears off. That's why smokers wake up with a "morning cough". They smoke the days first cig and the coughing subsides. The cilia is numb again.
I guess its the warmer smoke that albeit smoke is probably warmer than the surrounding air.
the defensive reflex is suppressed and many of the cilia in the lining of the lung die,so a nice even coating of tar settles in.mmm, rich tobacco flavor.
That involuntary reaction, unless lung damage has been done, isn't "prompted" by the over-use of nicotine from the cigarette.
The cilia (Hair like structures that remove gunk) go to sleep right after you smoke a cigarette. If you continue to smoke you wont cough much all day. This explains the morning cough - The cilia are awake since you don't smoke while you are sleeping!

Why do people so often suppose that people with cerebral palsy (and related disorders) are mentally deficient?

Is there any serious statistical evidence to suggest that people with CP are more frequently mentally deficient than the general population? And why is it that, in many people's perception, lack of motor control seems to imply lack of intelligence? In my opinion (as an university educated person with CP), these two things (intelligence and motor skill) are often equated for no valid reasons, leading to many funny and sometimes sad situations..
Answer:
We are molded from childbirth, told the ways in which people are "supposed" to look, act, talk, smile...etc. When a person is different than the "standards" we have been taught to apply then it is easy to stick labels on those that are "different". In all actuality 40-50%* of those with CP have intellegence within normal limits. This is actually (in my opinion) one of the worst things a person with CP has to endure. To be trapt in a body that people treat as though it were mentally challenged. In my experience working with children who have CP, I have seen the emotional hardship that they suffer as they watch the people around them. Horrible stares, medical staff talking about their condition in front of them like they are unable to understand what they are saying. I am sorry that you have to experience such ugliness in the world. I hope however that you know that you are a wonderful person and the only opinion of you that matters is the opinion you have of yourself.
lack of understand about the disease
Some people are just to plain stupid.
Most definetly ignorance...human nature dictates that it's easier to think the negative thoughts because there isn't much thought to jumping to an incorrect conclusion, then dismissing it. When we are interested in why anyone is the way they are, it requires more action...perhaps research, then hopefully acceptance. I think alot of people just don't know any better.
It's a combination of many things:Mainly; it's the lack of education. Most people are anxious to learn; learn all they can about the functioning of the human being but some aren't. If not; harsh hurtful incorrect assumptions are sometimes made %26 worse yet verbalized.Behaviors of others seen in their childhood years. Example: A parent explaining to a child "They ain't right" (over heard while shopping not too many years ago). More currently Mommies saying don't point, don't look at them, don't stare, etc (at anybody less than "normal"). I hope "they didn't mean crazy, stupid or retarded as my brother was called for many years. He was brain injured at birth %26 didn't exactly look, talk or act like most kids. The neighborhood kids wouldn't play with me because I had "Cooties". They said he was crazy %26 it was catching. This cruel name calling left my brother %26 I puzzled as to what was really wrong with us. Both of us have been lifetime loners. Varying degrees of social phobias still hang with us today. My brother now 60; wouldn't apply for food stamps or disability saying "I would have to tell them I'm crazy %26 I've been called names all my life. All I wanted is a job".I must apologize for getting carried away. Lemonade Lady
Because most people judge other people on "normal" one can act, not on how "normal" one can think.I agree so much with you. In this sick/sad world, a lot of discrimination had happened for petty/pathetic reasons, and having CP is one of this. I think this mentality is cultivated during childhood, when a kid feels superior when he/she points out the weaknesses of others to the point of bullying the "weaklings". In my opinion, people who think like this wanted to point out that they're normal, and will definitely have that inkling that normal people are better than CP people. And this I never believed because having CP doesn't make you less a person.

Why do people itch?

Answer:
bugs, we have millions of tiny lil unseeable bugs on each and ever one of us
There is a condition caleed dermagraphia wich causes incessant itching and hives. An antigen introduced to the body is most likely the culprit. I have had this condition for over 14 yrs. It is like I am allergic to touch! Try taking an over-the-counter antihistamine to stop the itch. Luck!

Why do people get restless leg syndrome and how to get rid of it. i can,t sleep. thanks.?

Answer:
From what I have learned, it's usually from iron deficiency. You need to talk to your family doctor first to confirm this. Your doctor will run some blood tests (most probably just one blood test) to see if you lack iron and then your doctor will inform you if you are lacking of iron. He/she will most likely prescribe or request that you take iron pills. If you are on medications, they also have side effects, so you'll have to check if such side effects are applicable to your medications that are affecting your restlesness; that is, if only you are on medications.
How do you know it is restless leg syndrome. You need to get it diagnosed by a doctor. There is medication for that.
It is a treatable medical condition and you can get relief from it. See your doctor. Sorry, I don't have an answer as to why it occurs but it is sometimes seen with other sleep disorders.
A few people in my family have been diagnosed with it. I also believe I have the problem. As far as I know there is no sure shot medication for this, but the Doctors have recommended that before we sleep to stretch real good, little or no caffeine a few hours before bed, and maybe even a nice warm shower or bath to help. The warm bath always seemed to do the job for me.

Why do our hands give colouring after appling mehandi? what is the chemical reaction going on?

Answer:
http://www.shubhlagan.in/features_mehand...It is just a stain that sets into the skin, not a chemical reaction that causes the color to remain on your skin.
You do use lemon juice to set the dye in the skin to make it last longer, so the use of a mild acidic setting agent could be considered a chemical reaction.
