Why does my ear hurts when i talk more than 5min on the cell phone? Is it harmful? and what to do?

just dont hold it so closeand press it hard on ur ear
maybe even turn the volume down

You might be pressing the phone too hard to your head, or is the volume set too high? Microwave shields (previous answer) may or may not be the answer, depending on how much time you're actually spending on the phone.

You are probably just pressing in too hard. Other than the obvious issues of talking on the phone while driving or operating saw blades there are no real scientifc links to cell phone use and diseases. It could be that your eardrum is damaged or you have some sort of damage inside your ear, which is being agitated by the sound waves.Have a doctor do an ear canal inspection to make sure there is no bleeding or anything.
